So if I started this by telling you that winter months are my favourite I’d obviously be lying. But what I love about these months or the autumn months before them , is that you can dress however you like, doing layering and enjoying what you’re wearing without having to think about fainting from the heat like you do in the summer months ( unless you live in the UK so you can do layering pretty much all year round) .
Also this is the time of the year where all the big trends start making an appearance in the shops.
This year bucket bags have been becoming increasingly popular and plastic will probably be making an even bigger appearance in the next few months especially following Chanel’s latest runway show.
For some reason it looks like Topshop discovered plastic first though 🙂 so I actually bought this plastic raincoat before the September fashion weeks. I got to wear it since early autumn and I have been taking my bucket bag everywhere . It does literally go with everything .
But it seems like it’s not just me who likes plastic raincoats . Even Ryan Gosling’s hologram was wearing one in Blade Runner !
So, with such celebrities leading the way 🙂 this photoshoot took place earlier in autumn last year. Given my baby brain situation and motherhood coming first , it is being published now.
In this outfit everything is being incorporated. Wide leg trousers, bucket bag, cat eye sunglasses, eye catching prints and plastic! My main point is that you should not be afraid to mix colour, prints and different trends as long as you feel good in it and do not forget your shades !
You will be able to find a range of oversized trousers in the shops currently . Some of the best ones that I have recently seen are ( and I was surprised with that too) from Massimo Dutti ! So, check it out !
Enjoy your plastic as long as the trend lasts but do it sensibly. Afterall , Theresa May has just declared a war on plastic so plastic outfits may go out of fashion before they even go into it!
