How many uses can you get out of your oversized dress and why would you even buy one?
Well, as far as I’m concerned it was my pregnancy which introduced me to the world of oversized clothing. As if being heavily pregnant isn’t difficult enough , you’re also faced with the task of finding clothes to wear! I’ll say this now and I’m sure you’ll hear it from me again and again ; I hate maternity wear. Well not all of it , but when it comes to dresses it’s all so floral and so office like looking that I couldn’t even imagine getting in one of them . Regarding maternity coats there’s not much of a choice out there ( if you like something more fashionable that is ) so I just used oversized coats or as in this example, my dress! 🙂
So it’s all about using what’s available and improvising .
Luckily , fashion this year has been all about oversized dresses so it helped massively.
And this is exactly how I used it to my advantage. I used an oversized size 6!!! dress as a coat in the last weeks of pregnancy and I’m using it as a dress in the first weeks post pregnancy plus as a coat for whenever the weather dictates which is more or less all the time! Versatility at its best !
The mirror selfie is from 30+ weeks of pregnancy, the rest are all post delivery .
Looking forward to styling it up with some heels next time -as a dress that is- but will have to wait until full recovery for it!
Until then , enjoy and remember there’s always another way to use your clothes when you feel there’s nothing in your wardrobe for you to wear xx
